Savera Safaris was born from that feeling.
Not as just another wildlife travel company, but as a space built around experiencing the wild with intent, patience and a deeper understanding.
Founded by Kapil Sharma, a wildlife photographer and mentor, Savera Safaris brings together years of field experience, strong on ground networks and a clear focus on photography-led experiences. From choosing the right zones and seasons to working with the finest drivers and guides, every detail is thoughtfully planned.

Savera is more than a brand. It is a tribute. A new beginning built upon the legacy of the man who shaped Kapil’s journey into the wild.
Dinesh Sharma, Kapil’s beloved uncle, his mentor and guiding force who introduced him to wildlife and photography at a very young age of 10.
A retired physics professor and passionate photographer, he taught him far more than photography. He taught him patience & observation. He taught him to bond, bond with everything in nature, the light, the wind, the animals, the people…
Many of the values that define Savera today were born from those early years spent together with him in the forest.
Though he is no longer with us, his presence continues to live through every journey, every lesson and every story we create. Savera stands as a new hope inspired by his vision and passion for the natural world.
He will always remain the soul of this journey and forever, the brand ambassador of Savera Safaris!

Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma is more than just a skipper, he is a bridge between the viewer and the wild. With over a decade and a half of experience navigating the world’s most pristine reserves, he has mastered the art of ‘looking around’ before ‘shooting’.
His philosophy is rooted in the belief that a powerful photograph is not defined by the subject alone, but by the relationship between light, weather, habitat and emotion. For Kapil, the strongest images are those where the atmosphere and elements become just as important as the animal itself.
Over the years, he has meticulously planned, organised, and led numerous photography expeditions across India and Africa, guiding photographers of all levels through immersive field experiences designed around patience, observation and creative intent. His mentorship blends technical precision with artistic vision, helping individuals develop their own photographic voice rather than follow a formula.
As the founder of Savera Safaris, Kapil has created a distinct photography-led approach to wildlife travel, combining meaningful learning, curated wilderness experiences and luxury hospitality into journeys that feel deeply personal and immersive.
